In 2016, Agrani Samaj presented the theme "Om Mani Padme Hum", inspired by the eternal philosophy of Lord Buddha. This sacred mantra, symbolizing compassion and peace, resonates with millions around the world as a path to spiritual awakening. Our theme highlighted the serene presence of Gautam Buddha, his meditative posture, and the timeless message of kindness and harmony. Through the creativity of rural artisans, the pandal came alive with light, colors, and artistic brilliance — offering visitors a rare moment of tranquility and inner calm amidst the festive celebrations. "Om Mani Padme Hum" transformed that year’s Durga Puja into a festival of meditation, humanity, and peace.
